Trauma & EMDR

The idea that ANY therapy could literally change the way a trauma memory is stored in the brain is an extraordinary claim. That is what research shows EMDR therapy can do. It changes current symptoms and deactivates sensitivity to triggers by transforming the trauma memories that drive them.

This course uses visual imagery to explain the theory behind EMDR therapy and how EMDR memory reprocessing works. It equips you with an introduction to what is needed for memory reprocessing to be safe and effective. It also explains three strategies for choosing which memories to target, in order to create the changes you most want to experience.

Student Testimonials

Conceptualizing the AIP and Maladaptive storage through the tree image and its representation of various aspects of identifying stored trauma is so beneficial. The visual facilitates a greater understanding of key concepts that otherwise can be difficult to explain.

Susie Morgan is an amazing trainer with a profound EMDR acumen. Thank you.
